I have the same problem with not one, but two different Sebring Convertibles. In both cases, the dealership states that the factory installed radio has gone bad. I replaced the one radio with an aftermarket version and all is well again. I still haven't replaced the radio in the second sebring.I have the same problem with not one, but two different Sebring Convertibles. Most likely radio cable in the trunk, or wherever the antenna is has become disconnected from the antenna assembly. Or less likely the same connection between the cable and radio. Otherwise, there may be a power supply to the radio. Or if there has been something done to the battery or electrical system. The security system to the radio has been disturbed. It now needs to have the security code re-entered into the radio. Please see your Owner's manual. No manual? try manualslib.com.
Enter the security code in the radio. The code is a 5 digit number and should be written in the owner's manual or on a little label inside the glove box. If it still doesn't work after entering the code, check the fuses.
This is 'nornal': when you loose battery power or remove the car battery, the anti-theft funtion of your radio system will be enabled: you need to consult your specific car (radio) user manual to enter the radio security code which is normally a 4 digit code (originally provided when with new car manual or the radio if it is an aftermarket radio). The original car dealer may also have the radio security code.
Have you lost power or disconnected the battery? You might put an analyzer on it and see if there is a defect code. It may need to be reprogrammed. I know if I disconnected the battery in my Benz I would have to enter a code on the radio itself to get it to work again. Hope that helps/
Chances are the radio has an internl issue and requires replacement. The EQ draws power and inputs from the radio. A radio exchange is an easy process if you decide to put the sme radio back into your vehicle. Contact me if you need direction.
I have a 2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. The battery died and I jump started it. Now the radio does not work. The only lights are the flashing equilizer lights. Any suggestions?
