Location of the "Fuel Pump" Relay on a 1994 Mercury Topaz 4cyl? Purchased one, but the owner's manual and Haynes Repair Manual all don't show it's location, and it's not behind the Glove Box, or as far as I can tell it's not in that black box on the left engine area, near the shock top mount, since I tried for 1 hour to open that and it won't seem to open at all? Does anyone know where this "Fuel Pump" Relay is please?

I think that this 1994 Mercury Topaz, it doesn't have a "Fuel Pump Relay" factory installed, even though the Automotive Parts stores sell several models of Fuel Pump Relay's there is no place that I can find and think this model car might not have one installed, does anyone know for sure?

Diagram you can see at http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html
Shows the relay, but does not give location. It is usually in the box you couldn't open. Diagram also shows you have an impact fuel pump cutoff. Do you have owner's manual? Ford has good relay diagrams in their manuals--I'm sure it will show.

SOURCE: Exact Location of fuel pump relay 1989 Buick Century

Go to a repository library, which usually has the factory service manuals. Those will show you where the relays are and how to troubleshoot.

Your vehicle's fuel pump relay is located on the relay center, behind the glove box, 2nd column of relays, 2nd one from the top.

SOURCE: Where is starter relay on 1996 Buick LeSabre?

it should be in the under hood fuse box... a relay looks like a 1"x1" cube (most are black in color)... it has 4 or 5 prongs on the bottom.... the fuse box cover should have a diagram on it (or in it)

1994 Mercury Topaz 4cyl starts up for a few seconds, then stops, I did replace the Fuel Pump on 4/17/13 and I'm pretty sure the Fuel Pump assembly, that it had a new Fuel Pump Relay, not positive though....

swap your fuel pump relay with something like your horn relay but the relay is almost never the problem to check the fuel pump turn the key on and listen near the filler cap if the fuel pump buzzes the fuel pump will only buzz for 3 to 5 seconds check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail it could also be fuel filter stopped up or pressure regulator

I need to replace the fuel pump on 1988 Topaz 4 door. I have lost my manual. Any instructions?

you are going to need a repair manual, an owners manual does not cover repairs. you can get one on eBay for about 10 bucks, delivered. it will have detailed instructions and pictures.you may also find a video to watch on youtube.

Can not find witch harness fuel pump fuse is in

fuel pump is protected by a relay. see owner manual for location.

PCM power relay powers up PCM. PCM then powers up fuel pump through fuel pump relay.

Also, check to be sure inertia switch is not tripped. In trunk. look for label or look in owner manual for info.

93 Mercury topaz does fuel pump have a fuse or relay

there is a fuel pump turn off switch installed on ford. when you lost the tread this was activated. the location will be noted in your owners manual if you have one. usually installed in the rear (trunk area) or front of car drivers side near fuse panel, or passenger side it is a little red button, all you have to do is push it in to reset the switch.
