Fuel shut off switch location

A SAFETY FUEL SHUT OF SWITCH IS GENERALLY LOCATED IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE NEAR THE GAS TANK, TRUNK AREA, OR REAR CARGO AREA.
THIS IS BECAUSE IF A REAR END COLLISION OCCURS...THIS SWITCH WILL TRIP, STOPPING FUEL FLOW TO PREVENT FIRE AND/OR EXPLOSION

2002 x5 rear end collision car will not crank over

My recommendation is to look for the Fuel Pump trip switch and reset it.

During a collision a sensor is able to sense impact and trip so fuel is not pump any longer.

With the car in the on but not running position see if you can hear the fuel pump.

If you can then the car has other issues.

Hope this helps

2001 DODGE Caravan was involved in a frontal collision and I assume that the emergency fuel shut off system was engaged. How do I reset/fix?

Have you replaced any of the Impact Sensors on the front? If not this will keep fuel from flowing. I have never seen or heard of one. Now their is also a relay for fuel system for collisions its in the main relay box under hood.

FYI : the fuel reset sw. are under the rear panels on cars and trucks. But the service web site does not show one for your van nor replacement parts are found.
