How do I reset the fuel shut off switch after rear end collision?

It is called and Inertia switch and if your car had one it is only tripped and shuts off in a rear end collision of more than 3 G's. Your car doesn't use one.

the GMs ecu pcm or other name similar to the vehicle's brain shuts the fuel system off automatically during an accident.

in my joint venture with ford/ nissan for my minivan, as an example, i can hit that reset switch to turn on the fuel pump if the accident set my airbags off, but the vehicle can still be driven to the side...

My recommendation is to look for the Fuel Pump trip switch and reset it.

During a collision a sensor is able to sense impact and trip so fuel is not pump any longer.

With the car in the on but not running position see if you can hear the fuel pump.

If you can then the car has other issues.

Then the fuel pump circuit is shorted from the collision, you likely have to replace the fuel pump.

Have you replaced any of the Impact Sensors on the front? If not this will keep fuel from flowing. I have never seen or heard of one. Now their is also a relay for fuel system for collisions its in the main relay box under hood.

FYI : the fuel reset sw. are under the rear panels on cars and trucks. But the service web site does not show one for your van nor replacement parts are found.

hello,there is no reset switch for fuel pump motor,possible your fuel pump relay is not working,maybe a fuse busted in the system or maybe some wiring is become ground due to your rear accident,ty

fuel inertia switch will be located on either side,
of rear compartment. since that is it purpose, to
shut off fuel in a rear end collision

i will tell u this these switches are designed to interrupt voltage to fuel pump in a rear end collision-
so i would look around the taillights in back behind upholstery panels
