My 2005 nissan altima 3.5 is idling at 800 rpm's, and my service engine soon light came on. The code read for a Chrysler? P1283, and Fuel pump module detected an incorrect low idle, low idle select circuit open & shorted,ECM defective, and fuel injection pump fault. They car has cut off while driving before, and idles rough at times. The light has come on when I fill the tank too. I recently replaced the bank 2 sensor. Any thoughts for a resolution?

What does a Chrysler product have to do with this fault code, please explain. The meaning of the code is that bank 1 O2 sensor is defective.

SOURCE: nissan ga15 engine idle adjustment locations

The idle speed is computer controled, it is not adjustable, you most likely have sludge in the throttle valve and the idle speed control air bypass valve, clean them with carb spray with the engine running.

SOURCE: Car Stalls at low speed. Restarts. DTC Code 0340 and 1167

The codes you provided indicate separate issues. Code 1167 is indicative of either a stuck fuel injector of the O2 sensors. Code 0340 indicates the CMP position sensor. Replacing the O2 sensors will likely clear the 1167 code assuming the fuel injectors are okay. It would be the first course of action. If there's no noticeable change in performance (i.e. stalling problem continues) then the CMP position sensor is likely your overall problem. Best of luck.

Difference between Air fuel ration sensor to O2 sensor?

usually an O2 code is 3 digits and not this type of code. if it has an mass air flow sensor(MAF) it could be it. I would start with checking the MAF readings then the O2 readings. OBD 2 codes are emission regulated so no matter what car it is the codes represent the same problem.

Make sure you are looking up the code properly. 1283 for Nissan indicates a lean condition on bank 2. See link below. A vacuum leak is likely, but make sure the new sensor is recalibrated. Did you perform the relearn procedure after replacing the sensor? If not, see the second link below. If you ran the relearn procedure and cleared all codes but 1283 comes back, look for a loose vacuum line or leaky intake manifold gaskets. I have a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5 S 4 cylinder - went to get gas (just a bit, did not fill up) on Christmas and soon afterward the 'service engine soon' light came on. Called the Nissan dealer

When last did you service the vehicle ?
did they use the proper fuel ?

Chances are the service time is near where you will need to do a basic service, Plug , plug wires, filters etc. And reset the counter.
the fuel ting is just a coincidence.

Service Engine Soon

That is pure nonsense. The PO 507 appears to be Idle Air Control System

Look over the car yourself

Make sure the Air Filter cover is on correctly and all duct work to the Throttle Body is in place and tight and you have no other vacuum hoses off.

You never need a Dealer. All you need is good professional scanner and up todate software.

You should stop by your local Auto Parts store and see if they can check your service engine light with a code scanner. Some places do it for free. This could point you to a better direction.

Fuel pump 2005 nissan altima

Take it back to where you had it serviced. They probably simply missed connecting the fuel level sensor. The engine light is probably from a missed emissions hose that goes to the gas tank.
