Under the hood right behind the battery. Undo the clips on that black
plastic box and the filter is right there. There is also a cabin air
filter behind the lower glove box.
When you change the filter, you shouldn't have a problem with the hoses or tubes.
the cabin filter is behind glove box, open glove box an release it so it opens farther to get to filter ( should be release clips at sides of glove box)
try changing the power steering oil, if you can access one of the hoses and disconnect one to drain, refil and try again, there are additives thet clean and lubricate as well
has the fuel filter been changed ? if not it is time to change it reguardless . and tune up? this sounds like a fuel filter change it and see what happens also if no tune up and air filter then it is time to have that done as well.
The engine air filter is located in the box behind the battery. This box should have 4 metal clips that pop off and you and pick up the top of the box and underneath is the filter.
