My ford ranger is difficult to start. I have to turn it over for several seconds. Turn the key off and try again and it usually starts after a second or two.
It used to start just fine. I have not had this problem in the past.
Thanks
Jeff
This double crank you say works in a couple of seconds? Try this; Turn the key on and wait a couple of seconds before cranking. It may be it takes a couple of seconds for the rail pressure to build up. The fuel pump shouldn't have to refill the fuel system but pressure recovery could be hindered by the fuel filter no passing fuelfreely enough.. Age of fuel filter?
