You need to be more specific.
From what you have, it runs, so all mechanics are in place and working. That probably doesn't change. It would help to know when it won't start what does it do.
I would look at some sort of fuel disruption. Could be vapor lock or something.
When it won't start try some starter fuel or just a bit of fuel down the air intake and see if you get a response.

i have a 2000 alero new fuel pump and filter head gasket set plugs wires coil pack and converter is fine 1500rpms max have to let off to shift no power has good days and now will barely run 10mph max

you should check if the Fuel is flowing properly

My daughter has the same problem and has been in contact with GM. The problem is the system, not the battery or fuel pump etc. GM has no direct fix or parts to repair. The battery disconnect/reconnect works best, its what a dealer will do and they reset the computer even though they find no error. Alero is also is prone to bad motor mounts effecting grounding which can cause the same problem. GM replacement mounts are the same as the problem mounts. Battery reset works here too. Since Olds is gone they won't invest, especially now. carry the battery wrench, drive it till you can't stand it any more and then trade in. Look at the net, its full of the same problem in multiple years of that Alero version. Shame its a nice car.

make sure your cap and rotor timing is correct double check spark plug routes (mistakes happen). maybe your timing is off in general.
