Is this an intermitting problem only occure during dry and cold weather?
Behind the ignition key lock there is a module call Wireless Control Module (WCM). When this module is zap by static eletricity build up during cold weather (via the key). It will hang just like you computer.
As a test please please touch the key to a metal object to discharge the static on the key before insert it into the ignition.
If the problem stop complete then you can take it to the Dodge dealer the arrange service on the Wireless Control Module (WCM) or wire for better grounding.
Mine did the same thing. The security system shut me out. It thought the car was being stolen and it wouldn't do anything.Had to have the dealer fix it.
Did u ever figure out prob?em? Today i took out my pass. ftont seat and went to try to start it wouldnt. i looked all arpund vehicle BATTERY, STARTER, COMPTER, ETC, ETC.... with no luck. Finally put seat back in (plugged in connection under it) and started right up. So basically I just want to get everyone a heads up that it could be a connection underneath your seat.
Have you checked the continuity of the battery cables to the starter?
