The knock sensor is threaded into the block of the engine, just below where the cylinder head sits. You will need to remove the intake plenum (upper and lower) to access this part.

SOURCE: how to repair the housing the upper radiator hose

it is not safe to repair this part, if it fails and you loose your coolant the engine is ruined very quickly from overheating, replace it.

SOURCE: 2002 Dodge Intrepid ES shift selector is stiff.

You have a shift cable. This cable may be getting a
little worn. One way to check it is, disconnect the
cable at the transmission and see if it is still stiff.
Look under the hood, just to the right of the brake
booster. You will see 2 cables that come through
the firewall, one is the throttle cable, it will go to the
right towards the center of the engine. The other is
the shift cable, it will go down to the transmission
linkage. Disconnect the cable there and see if it
shifts any easier. If not, replace the cable.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

Should I have lost transmission fluid if my 2003 intrepid overheated?

If the underneath of your transmissions and motor are really greasy and dirty. There's probably a leak from a bad gasket. I would suggest changing your trans fluid and filter (gasket comes with filter usually).

It sounds like you have a leak. Diagnose where the leak is coming from. Check for coolant leakage at your water pump, at both ends of your radiator hoses, and the transmission coolant line. You may also want to replace your Thermostat just in case it's locked in the closed position.

Trans, cooler ? Does the Dodge 2002 Intrepid have a transmission cooler, in front of or near the radiator, if so can fluid leaks occur after replacing the main radiator on the car. Have one that has leaked...

Hi:
You are correct. Almost all automatic cars have a transmission cooler connected to the radiator with 2 hoses, near the bottom. If the hoses are leaking or not installed correctly, all of the fluid from your transmission will get pumped out on the ground, and you won't be able to move the car. Inspect the two hoses and hopefully you will find your problem.

Most likely radiator needs cleaned. Try adding some radiator cleaner to radiator, remove and check thermostat, check temp control unit. .

2002 Dodge Intrepid has no heat

Radiators do not "go out". They leak or they don't... that's it. You wasted money changing a radiator if you aren't loosing coolant. The thermostat (~$10) is all you needed to change.
