SOURCE: Check Engine light and traction control light stay

there is nothing to do here but have the dealer run a scanner test to see what trouble codes were set with the lights coming on, until then there is no way to tell what the problem might be as there are over 200 possibilities.

SOURCE: 2006 Ford Five Hundred traction control light on all the time.

The traction light came on in my Ford 500 SEL along with the ABS light. If this happened, the problem was low battery power and a bad alternator. A fully charged battery fixed it for me after driving a couple of miles.

I've got a 2010 chevy equinox and the abs and traction control lights are on. When I start the engine and try to drive the front wheel brakes sound like they are locked until you hear a ding sound.

check and test fuses and connections --check hub brakes and abs sensor for failure the sensor is incorporated into the hub so if hub failing can cause abs and traction control trouble lights

I have a 2010 Ford Edge when the outside temperature drops below 45 degrees when I start the car and back out or pull forward the traction control light comes on. I can stop and restart the car and it will...

I expect the low temperature is trying to engage the traction control thinking it may be icy on the road, have the OBD codes read this will give you the codes for the faulty sensors/component

2007 Ford Edge the gear shift locks up and the traction control light stays on and when I manually push the sensor button down by the brake the traction light goes off and I can drive then.

Sounds like the brakeswitch you are pressing by hand is not in the proper position. What often happens is your feet knock off the switch and the safety setup locks the gearshift because you are suppose to have your foot on the brake before you can shift out of gear. Can not comment on traction light.

2007 ford edge abs and traction control light came on this morning and stayed on

the most likely cause is a faulty wheel speed sensor,
there are four, one on each wheel.
you will need to plug in a diagnostic tool to determine which one.

Traction control light and abs light came on at the same time and stayed on, on my 2001 ford focus please help!

most likely a wheel sensor concern

if the computer cannot see the wheel speed then you lose ABS and TRACTION control

go to almost any part store and have them pull codes
assuming you have a VSS code, replace the suspected part or continue diagnoses for possible wiring concern
