manual transmission clutches wear, making it necessary to adjust clutch pedal position, much like brake pads wear. Check your vehicle clutch adjustment by finding out if clutch pull point, or friction point is approximately I/2 the distance from all the way pressed to the floor and all the way released. does not need to be exactly halfway, but should be close. If the clutch release point is up towards the top vehicle clutch definitely will not hold completely, and allow vehicle pulsing roll. This will indicate clutch adjustment, or even require replacement.

Problems selecting 1st gear peugeot 106 1.1 zest

If the clutch is a problem you will have difficulty selecting 1st only as the gears would be spinning from the engine revs.. I would say that the front input shaft (clutch shaft) bearing is failing allowing miss alignment of the synchros and not allowing proper engagement of the gears synchro rings. It means removal and repair to the gear box so the clutch can be inspected while the box is out.

Audi does not move from stop position immediately it revs and then jumps into gear to pull away

the auto gearbox is low on transmission fluid is first thought .ot the front clutch but i would suspect low on oil ,start engine put in reverse then check fluid level ,with handbrake on and brick behind drive wheel of course .

Just started to pull away from a stop in 1st and

sounds as though your input shaft broke, this would cause a loud clunk, cause it to feel as though in gear, and cause no pull.
