2008 Chevy Aveo. When I put a CD in, it reads for a moment, displays ''Error 7'' and spits the CD out. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?

It would take it in, then spit it out saying "Check CD", and the whole time the motors would be either ... This plate had pieces of felt tape on my particular deck.
I bet that it is just full of dust. If you were to take it out, take the top off and use an air compressor OR a can of compressed-gas cleaner used for computers to blow out the dust, it well work. If it is a factory deck, i suggest getting aftermarket. But be aware, some vehicles require a certain harness in order to prevent other electrical issues (ex: Head lights, dash lights, starter, ect.)
error 7 is The disc is not in the tray correctly. so it sounds like your cd player is starting to die. and its about the same price to fix it as it would be to buy an aftermarket. but if cant afford a new one taking the radio out and pulling the power cord on it to reset it works sometimes. (caution your radio might have a thief protect on it causing to lock when unpluged. if its does you will need the code for it)
I have this problem with my car cd player in nissan sentra. You can buy a cd/dvd cleaner and clean drive several times. Previous owner probably put dirty cds in their and the lenses can be very dirty. My cd player would say error and just spit cd back out. Now it works on and off, i think the lense is still dirty in mine. Good Luck. If that dont do it could be something more major with the player.
some factory radios wont play burnt cds, dont know if thats the case?but i not the case the optcal lens in side the radio is bad got one id sell you out of a 05 ha ha.
either the player cannot play the cd (usually happens with computer copied cd's) or you should try any kind of original audio cd that is not copied form a computer and if the problem persist, then take the radio to get checked while it;s still under warranty.
