I have an '04 Outlander and the wires on the manual shift switch are:
Black - top
Blue - center
Red - bottom
I used small heat shrink tubing on each solder joint to provide better mechanical support and prevent future breaking.

I had the same problem. I took my 2003 outlander into the mits. dealership and they told me there was a factory recall for some sort of relay or something for the cooling fan. they fixed it no charge. hope this helps.

I dont know if you have solved this yet but check the bushings on the suspension or the arms. If one is worn or damaged it will cause the tire to bend outward or inward and cause the tires to wear uneven.
Testimonial: "Thank you for the information. Will it cost much to repair this?"

just repair the broken wire with heatshrink[after youve respliced it] and check operation of motor.if it works, make sure wiring is securely cabletied out of the way, when reassembled
SOURCE: 2003 mitsubishi outlander sunroof will
Hi
could be a few things, firstly the fuse for the sunroof, secondly some have a small relay next to the motor near the sunroof. if the switch for the sunroof is on the roof pop it out of the trim or unscre it if it is fixed with screws, check the wiring looks right if still wont close then simply unplug the wires off the back of the switch, tel me how many wires you have and the colours, you can attach 2 toghether and this will close the sunroof if the switch is the part that has failed, Always check fuses first!
If your stuck still get back to me for more info

Hi itxlr8s , I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
Do you mean the Sporttonic or slap shift mode and the switch on the shifter with 3 wires?
