You have to take the speedo apart and re solder the circuit board get it apart and flip it over to the solder and on the right hand side of board you see approx 20 solder dots in a grouping with pins sticking out get a good quality solder iron and heat each pin up until the solder just changes color let cool and reassemble i had the same problem and did this and it has worked since

My gauges in the instrument panel are not working: speedometer, tachometer , fuel gauge etc.

If all the guages quit working at the same time, then it is probably a blown fuse. Check your fuse panels in the dash or under the hood. Look for a fuse that is labeled instrument panel or guages, it is probably blown.

All of a sudden my speedometer and my gas gauge quit working

If it would of been only your speedometer I would of tell you to replace your speed sensor. But in this case you gas gauge stopped working as well so I would recommend taking your whole cluster to a mechanic he will try to fix those two items, otherwise you will need to replace the whole cluster, same thing happened to me. Good luck

Pontiac Sunfire Dashboard Guages don't Work

Dashboard gauges have a wiring problem. Most Sunfires have these especially late models. It's a common defect. While the gauges will run fine most of the time, the primary instigator is heat. The more the car heats up inside the cabin, the more the gauges will stick. So keep the inside cool, and you'll be fine. Trying to replace with Chevrolet Cobalt gauges. I'll tell you if they work.
