Am trying to find out how long to idle my 1999, Dodge Ram 2500; when I start up in the morning

The obvious answer is "as short a time as possible". With that said, I usually allow a couple of minutes for fluids to get moving on warm mornings, but up here in Ontario in winter it gets pretty cold some mornings which requires a little extra for defrosting windows etc. I usually try to get moving as soon as it's safe to do so. Idling wastes fuel, contributes to air pollution, and is not good for an engine. Even if you feel better by going easy on the gas for the first few miles, at least your moving.

check your plug wires, your tps sensor, mass air flow sensor, good luck

You have fuel runback.Replace the injector leak off pipes then try.If this does not work then have a non return valve fitted to your fuel supply pipe close as possible to the punp.Hope that was helpfull good luck.
