I have a 98 Acura with an oil leak. After further inspection i found the radiator is filled with oil and actually pushing the oil/coolant mix into the overflow hose. radiator is filled with a coffee milk looking substance.
Anyone run into this before?
the car has no other symptoms (ie no overheating).
Check the oil, is the oil milky on the dipstick?
Check the Transmission Fliud level, Low?
If it is engine oil it could be a head gasket, if it is transmission oil then the cooling lines in the lower tank of the radiator may be leaking.
IT MAY BE TRANSMISSION FLUID, AM ASSUMING IT IS AUTOMATIC.IF IT IS THE CASE, DO NOT DRIVE VEHICLE ANYMORE YOU MAY DAMAGE TRANSMISSION.TAKE VEHICLE TO A REPAIR SHOP . YOU WILL NEED A NEW RADIATOR WITH A TRANS FLUSH. IF TRANS IS OK. IF NOT YOU MAY NEED A TRANS REPLACED ALSO.

Thank you all for the quick responses.
goalie39- the oil is not milky at all, and trans fluid not low.
jmmarrer- based on the color, it appears to be oil & not trans fluid but I will have that checked. It is not being driven and I will make an appointment with the garage this week.
i know it - the oil is in the radiator, there is no coolant in the oil.
