It may be an issue with your ignition switch, I had a similar problem with my Honda Accord. I was able to find a replacement for a good price on an online used auto parts store.
If has distributer cap-take off an clean-or new one------the coils may be worn-can go bad from age and oil issues on the seals-----or u cud hav a failn fuel pump--turn key off and on 5 times to build pressure-if it starts after-then u kno
Check ur fuel pump or fuel pump relay have an auto do a diagnostics on it the comp will def tell u whats wrong and where

You had better check the timing belt again, you may have done something wrong and it skipped teeth.
