Hyundai Santa Fe Windscreen Washer Motor Fault

Hi, windscreen washer pump on my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe (petrol) is not working (at all), although wiper motor is. Might be a fuse, but can't identify which fuse is for washer pump. Any pointers, suggestions, advice welcome. Thanks, Don

Try taking a pin and cleaning the holes on the squirters and if that does not work check the washer pump it is located on the washer fluid tank

Windscreen washers stopped working. all fuses ok,wipers working ok.front & back washers not working

Hi, First check that you have wash liquid in tank. second make sure that it will not freeze by putting alcohol in your mix of water and soap. You can buy it already mixed at most service stations. Check pump for corosion on contacts.
Good luck.

My Santa fe has suddenly started blowing the fuse in the windscreen wipers. My local garage has had it in 3 times and replaced the fuse each time. On collecting my vehicle the wipers have worked initially...

Someone, like a competent electrician, should diagnose this problem. Either the problem is in the wiring, OR, the wiper motor is INTERMITTENTLY shorting out blowing the fuse. Have the vehicle properly diagnosed by a qualified Hyundai Service Technician. Best advice.

Blocked pump for window wash , no water coming through onto windscreen.can i clear this myself? or does it need to go to garage?.

If the pump runs then the nozzles are blocked. Use a pin or needle to clear the blockage from the nozzle.(Stick it in the little hole pointed at the windscreen.) Be careful not to break the pin off in the nozzle.
See if you are able to pull the pipes off from the underside of the nozzles. Clear the nozzle using the pin. Then point the pipe into the underside of the nozzle and activate the washer in order to rinse the nozzle.

The washer fluid pump is not working on our 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe. You cannot hear it try to pump the fluid out. Where is the fuse for the pump? How can I check to see if the pump is bad?

if you have been using windscreen washer fluid then the additive can form a sludge at the motor.
the washer pump is situated behind the inner guard on the right hand side if u are sitting in the car.
this is held in place with a rubber surround which is removed by pulling the motor and rubber surround outwards.
wash the motor in warm water and reinstall.
hope this is of some use to you.

Windshield washer on my 2002 hundai santa fe not working

hi is there a noise coming from the washer when operated. it is posible there is a blockage in the tank at the pump intake. some windscreen wash additaves have a habbit of forming a heavy gunk. always use the liquid type. if there is no noise it is possibly a blown fuse or a faulty pump.
