SOURCE: replace passenger side low beam bulb in a 2003 lincoln aviator

Open hood and remove the radiator site shield and the air delector on top of the headlamp assembly. You will then see 2 clips that you will pull up and then remove the headlamp assembly.

SOURCE: Replace headlight

Remove coolant overflow bottle and windshield washer bottle neck (by turning neck counterclockwise about 3/4 inch and pulling up on it). That will open up the light bulb area. Nissan has a headlamp campaign, where bulbs get replaced for free to you and in some cases the whole headlamp gets replaced, bacause of the plastic falling apart, where bulb sits. Check with your dealer if the campaign is open on you vehicle. FREE

SOURCE: How do I replace my 2003 Acura TL passenger headlight assembly?

You will have to remove the front bumper to get to the bolts that hold the head light on
I would not recommend you try this unless you have some experience with this type of work

SOURCE: I need to replace the headlight assembly on a 1999

I just popped one of mine off this evening looking for the fan relay. 10mm socket. One bolt at the top, 3 nuts behind each lamp. You may need to take the air intake out to get access to the nuts on the drivers side. That is another 3 10mm bolts, 2 of which you need to take out to get to the air filter anyway.

2004 Lincoln Navigator> How do you tell if your head lamp bulb is HID or not?

Look at the existing bulbs.

HID bulbs are a a different shape and have a high voltage ballast because the are a high voltage arc lamp.

https://www.amazon.com/XtremeVision-2003-2004-Lincoln-Navigator-Replacement/dp/B01DQ1TYHY

As opposed to a standard halogen bulb that has a filament.

The light from HID is much brighter and often brilliant white or blue-white.

2003 acura tl type s passenger headlight not working high or low

After studying the wiring diagrams for your vehicle, this is what I can tell you:

First, the possibilities for your problem depend a LOT on if your vehicle is equipped with daytime running lamps (DRL) or if it is equipped with standard head lamps.

Then, the passenger high beam circuit and low beam circuit are separate circuits as well as separate bulbs. One circuit has little or nothing to do with the other. About the only thing they have in common is the Passenger Multiplex Control Unit, or if equipped, the DRL Control Unit.

I do not see any single "wire" that could fail and take out both of these circuits at the same time. The power, as well as the ground circuits for these two bulbs come from entirely different places.

With all that said, I would say that you either have a failure at the passenger multiplex control unit or you have two separate problems. - PROPER DIAGNOSIS REQUIRED.

Headlamp lens cover removal, appears simple, but is it? I hate to start prying it off the clips to find out there's more than meets the eye? Thanks, Don Carter

I'm not that familiar with 1999 Town Car headlights, but your headlights do not have covers. The housing is all one piece with the bulbs screwed into the back. I wouldn't pry on any clips near the lense. If you need a replacement housing, I found this one on Ebay at:
