Remove headlight assembly 2007 rav4 - 2003 Toyota RAV4

Usually the flasher unit but can also be the switch.
check your owners manual for the location of the flasher.

U really can't change the lens..if u manage to it most likely won't seal properly..u can change whole assembly or buff out the fog on the lens if that's us issue

Headlight bulbs are easily replaced. At the back of the headlight assembly, under the hood, find the electrical connector and turn it counterclockwise a quarter turn, then pull out the connector and attached bulb. Remove the old bulb, and replace with your new bulb. Do not touch the glass part of bulb with your hands or fingertips- it will shorten bulb life. Put the new bulb back into place and turn it clockwise to secure it..

Instructions

1. • Open the RAV4's hood and locate the headlight bulbs plugging into the rear of the headlight assemblies. Each assembly has two bulbs, one outer and one inner. Unplug the wiring harness from the rear of the burnt-out headlight, by pressing the locking button and pulling down on the harness.
   • 2Grab the rear of the bulb and rotate the bulb about a quarter turn counterclockwise to unlock it. Pull the bulb from the headlight assembly.

   • Grab a new 9005 (high beam) or 9006 (low beam) bulb by its plastic base. Insert the bulb in the rear of the headlight assembly, lining up the tabs on the bulb with the notches in the headlight assembly, and twist it clockwise to lock the bulb in place. Do not touch the glass part of the headlight bulb, as the oils from your hands can cause the bulb to fail prematurely.
     
   • 4Plug the wiring harness into the receptacle on the rear of the bulb
     

I had the same problem.
Check below documents, you can just pull the assembly down if you know where to pull hard.

Hi,

1 Open the RAV4's hood. Locate the back of the headlight assembly, just behind the headlight. You should see a ring-shaped plastic cover.

2 Turn the locking plastic ring clockwise about 1/2 inch and it should pop off.

3 Remove the rubber grommet covering back of the headlight. Simply pull it out of the headlight assembly.

4 Depress the spring latch holding the bulb in place behind the headlight. This is a wire latch that looks somewhat like a bent paper clip. Press it down and move it to the side, away from the light bulb. It should come free and flip open, freeing the bulb.

5 Disconnect the light bulb from the plug. Replace it with the new light bulb, and replace the latch and rubber grommet. Replace the plastic ring cover and turn your headlights on to ensure proper installation.

open the hood of your Escalade, unscrew the mounting screws on the top of the headlight assembly

slide the headlight forward

unplug the electrical connector from the back of the head light

Turn the headlight counterclockwise and remove it from the housing assembly

Install the new HiD headlight, installation is the reverse of removal

2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
   
3. Loosen the mounting bolts and nut of headlight assembly (A).

4. Take care that retaining clip (A) is not to be damaged-Santa Fe.

5. Disconnect the headlight electrical connectors.
   
6. Remove the headlight assembly.
   
7. Remove the headlight bulb:
   
   • Remove the headlight bulb(s) with a counterclockwise turn-Santa Fe.
     
   • Remove the headlight bulb after removing the bulb caps (A)-Veracruz.
     

     Remove the head lamp bulb(s) with a counterclockwise turn-Santa Fe
     

     Remove the headlight bulb after removing the bulb caps (A)-Veracruz
     

To install:

1. Install the headlight bulbs.
   
2. Install the headlight bulb caps-Veracruz.
   
3. Connect the headlight electrical connector.
   
4. Install the headlight assembly.
   
5. Connect the negative (-) battery termina

once bolts out lift up on the headlight unit hope this helps plz vote comment reply if you need more help

remove your tail light lens assembly using a screw driver slide the lens and lift it off then push and slightly turn the busted bulb to remove.

I thought I removed all of the bolts - a total of three (3) - but there are actually four (4), including one (1) inside, next to the radiator. It is difficult to see, and a pain to remove, but once out, the assembly can be easily removed.
