1995 Nissan Cefiro A32 V6 2Litre Auto trans, 190,000 km's. Random malfunction of the factory Immobliser. Buttons on factory remote don't work. I've removed the dash and pulled the plug from the unit (no. 5711 printed on it). Any idea's why it's malfubctioning ? Easy fix suggestion ? I appreciate your help.

I would check the condition of the cat converter as it sounds like it is breaking up and blocking the exhaust pipe. The smell is hydrogen sulphide (rotten egg gas) and is the by- product of the cat converter action
