I have a 1997 Acura CL, it has power windows and yesterday I pushed the button to put the drivers window down and now it won't go up. all you can hear is hte sound of hte motor nad some krinkling noise. Any idea what the problem is, do you know if its a big job?? My dad is pretty mechanically enclined just wondering if he could handle it?
Yes, ur cable on the drivers window regulator is binding , stretched , and or broken(krinkle noise)..i use to own a c.l 3.0 v6 with the same problem...replaceing the regulator and motor assembly fixed the window...

Did you test for B+ voltage in the circuit , won't work without it ? There are videos on you tube on how to trouble shoot power window electrical circuit . Suggest you try testing !
I am guessing here so be nice with your thumbs up for me please. Have you checked the transmission fluid level. Rember that when doing so the dip stick measures in pints and not quarts, Let me know. I have some other ideas too. Raz
your window does not ride on a track the motor has a gear that drives a mechanism up and down. it sounds like the motor came loose.
pop the door panel and remount the motor, first pull the window all the way up. hope this helps
do you know if this is very costly?
