One of the heater hoses that connects to the fire wall has broken off. The nipple that connects the hose to the heating coil is the part that broke off. can that nipple be replaced?
YES IT CAN BE REPLACED THE NIPPLES ARE AVALIABLE AT THE DEALER IF YOU DO 1 YOU SHOULD DO THEM BOTH IT DOES TAKE A SPECIAL TOOL TO REMOVE THE NIPPLE IT IS VERY INEXPENSIVE THOUGH

a small hose on the fire wall! Sounds like it could be for the heater core. Depending where it is leaking from, you may be able to replace the hose clamp(if its leaking out the end of the hose), You can buy a few hose clamps from your local autoparts store(I also seen them in a few grocery stores, and of course, at Wal-Mart) Good luck
heater inlet & outer hose fittings are available at a parts store or dealer. ? you don't say which end! Here is two common numbers ACdelco 15032062 and 1533862. Most common is the block item. However a complete hose assembly is available as well. I would gather you have it fixed by now..If not go to dealer parts department and ask.
The heater hose connects to the heater core through the fire wall, under the hood, remove heater hose clamp at fire wall under the hood, remove clamp at other end, install new heater hose, no you don't have to do any thing under the dash.
With the engine cold look under the hood for a small vacuum hose that feeds the duct controls. Its usually on the pass. side near the A/C box mounted on the fire wall. The vac hose will be coming off the intake manifold. They get broke off or disconnected with the heat.
You can bypass the heater core, you just wont have heat anymore. On the firewall of the truck, behind the engine, you will see 2 rubber heater hoses that go into the firewall. They attach to the heater core. Disconnect them and get a plastic connector, and connect the 2 hoses together with clamps to hold them down. This will stop coolant from going into the heater core, and no more leak.
Follow the top radiator hose to the motor remove the 2 bolts on the housing and the thermstat is right there. If you still have problems dis connect the 2 small heater hoses at the fire wall and flush with a garden hose your heater core might be plugged
I had the same problem that I just fix by flushing the heater core out with a hose.
take the two hoses off the fire wall and put the water to it and let flush. my heater is putting out 150 dg. F of hot air. I'm so excited! i will stay warm now.
you can remove the core and solder it yourself or you can have a radiator shop do it unless the rest of the core is not damaged this is an easy fix and the cost will be minimal. please rate this thanks
