I have a 1993 astro 4.3 V6 - dies at idle and will not restart

I have a 1993 astro 4.3 V6 with throttle body injection (Z vin code). It starts right up and idles perfectly but when it comes up to temp it will die at idle and will not start until it cools down. It then starts right up and repeats. When trying to start it I can see that no fuel is coming from the injectors. I can pour a little gas in the throttle body and it starts up and keeps runing though idle is rough and it kills again. I have replaced the fuel pump the ECM computer, had the injectors flowed( they are fine). No vaccume leaks, no codes and throttle sensor and idle air valve replaced. It will keep running even when hot if I keep the RPMs high enough but will die if brought back to low idle. I am out of ideas - anyone seen this before?

A sensor probably , but with out looking at scan data i'd only be guessing . Your best bet , take it to a qualifed repair shop an have it checked . Unless you want to buy parts you don't need ! What is the coolant temp sensor data , mass air flow , fuel trims , is the engine computer adding fuel to compensate for a vacuum leak . Leaking EGR valve etc.... What is the TPS - throttle postion sensor data show, map sensor , coolant temp sensor etc....

When 1993 dodge caravan is driven awhile, It sometimes will not

idle is set at factory but if the idle air control valve is bad it won't idle right also if the throttle position sensor is not working right it won't idle right a diagnostic scan should be able to determine which one is needed.

Engine wont fire until fuel is poured in throttle body

1993 s-10 should have a 4.3 engine. Your symptoms tell me your throttle body injector is clogged, and only allows so much fuel to pass through it. Therefore, on a idle there is not enough fuel coming through to keep the engine running, or to start it. If you replace the throttle body injector your issue should cease.

I hope this information helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.

Buick Regal 3.8 dies while braking

Check to see if you have a lot of dirt in the throttle body. Clean the throttle blades out with brake cleaner or throttle body cleaner. You'll see alot of dirt come out. Keep spraying until it comes out fairly clear and wipe the throttle body out with a rag. If this doesn't do it, you may have a problem with the throttle position sensor (TPS). This sensor controls the idle after the car warms up and keeps it from dying when you brake or sit at idle.
