1994 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 (360) won't start new fuel pump, coil??

Dodge Ram has quit twice. Put on fuel pump and new coil. Poor rpm, 250-500, hard starting....acts like it flooded. I have one person telling it is the brain and one person telling me it is the crank shaft positioning sensor. Has not thrown any diagnostic codes. Any ideas on how to test brain or Crank shaft sensor? Any ideas

2000 ram 3500 deisel dies at 2000 rpm won't start

could be fuel elated, there are two fuel pumps, the high pressure pump to feed the injector system and the lift pump to get fuel from tank to the high pressure pump. Check fuel filter also and start there. The fuel pumps are expensive. What have you checked so far and eliminated?

Why won't my 2001 1500 dodge ram start after running out of gas? (i've put gas in it)

You should measure the fuel pressure. When you run out of gas the fuel pump is not cooled by fuel. This can cause a pump that is ready to quit to fail. There could be other causes but I think the fuel pump is the most likely cause.

I hope this helps.

My 94 GMC Jimmy 4x4 vortec, is hard to start, cuts off when i make stops, have to put it in neutral when i am at lights and still have to give it gas then. already changed the distributor cap and rotor...

I recently had similar symptoms from my Kia Rio, hard to start, bad idle in gear, etc.
Ended up being the idle air control valve, you can try cleaning yours with carb cleaner and see if there's any difference.
A clogged fuel filter can produce the same symptoms too, that might be the easiest thing to start with, then it's just a process of elimination from there.

Fuel pressure intermittently drops causing sputter and die.

check for 12v constant at your fuel pump if you are not getting that replace your relay.
if you are getting 12 volts at your fuel pump the fuel pump is possible to run tuel it gets warm then shut down to a lower rpm I would then replace the fuel pump

check both filters first, should be on on top, and one under frame, if replaced both, its probably your fuel pump

Engine stalls

sounds like one of a couple things could be causing you problems first would be the fuel pump may be wearing out. these are a mechanical pump and should be producing over 35psi at the injection pump if you have a way to put a gauge on it you could check this under full throttle is when you want to watch it though. fuel gauges are quite inexpensive and are handy to have in the truck anyway. another thing i have seen cause this is the check valve on the discharge of the pump there is a spring and ball in the return line banjo fitting that holds the fuel pressure at a constant 35 psi when that gets weak it allows more fuel to return to the tank which will let it run at lower rpm's but not under full load. hope this helps
