Where is the crank sensor located on 89 Mercedes 560sel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLOweWeLSYQ

The crankshaft position on most Mercedes-Benz cars such as E320, C240, S430, S500 is located at the back of the engine by the flywheel housing, in front of the firewall. It monitors the engine crankshaft position and speed and is one of the most important input sensors that is used by the Engine Control Unit (ECU). http://www.mercedesmedic.com/crank-shaft-position-sensor/

Crankshaft Positioning Sensor Replacement
Problems with the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) on Mercedes-Benz cars are fairly common. If you have been experiencing stalling or no start conditions, a failed crankshaft position sensor is often the problem. Your CPS may have failed if the engine cranks but it will not start. At first, you may experience no start conditions intermittently. As the crankshaft position sensor fails completely, the car will no longer start or will die when you are driving. Starting problems are initially random, but more frequent when the engine is hot. Other symptoms of a failed crankshaft position sensor are poor acceleration, engine vibrations, poor throttle response, bad fuel economy, hesitation, engine stalls. The engine starts if you let it cool down. If you are stuck on a parking lot and the car will not start, let the car cool down at least 30 minutes and then try again. ( Thanks to MB Medic)

What is causing my engine to stall at stop light?

Could be a number of things. Start with doing a fuel system clean and air filter swap. If that doesn't fix it. Look into crankshaft position sensor and the knock sensor.

Will not start

Let it cool down, if it starts, check your Crankshaft Position Sensor.
Somewhat common problem on Benz.

Non starter

Have you checked to see if your injectors are firing and have you checked your fuel pressure?

2000 Mercedes CLK..I think it is a vapor lock problem..car starts as usual but 5-7 minutes later it just shuts down..happened in traffic..so I dont dare to drive it..Afterwards it doesnt start unril...

Sounds like the crankshaft position sensor needs to be replaced. They are a common problem with the Mercedes. That sensor is the one that the engine control module looks at to see if the engine is running. When they get hot and stop producing a signal the engine control module thinks the engine is not running and shuts of the fuel. After waiting awhile they cool down and the vehicle will start up again. I've changed many of them when I worked at the dealer. Tricky part is when there working and the car is running there will be no check engine light on or code stored. Usually will only have the code when the car won't start. Let me know what you end up finding out on it but that would be the first place to look and probably the cheapest.

STARTER TURN BUT CAR WONT START

My car is doing the same. You need to replace the crankshaft position sensor. You can order online for about $60.00. Part is $140.00 at dealer.
