Engine noise. Hi guys! I am from Russia, so first

Engine noise. Hi guys! I am from Russia, so first of all sorry for my english. I need your help. I own Isuzu Rodeo 2002 2,2l y22se and I bought it with very strange noise coming from the engine. First of all I changed water pump, timing belt with all rollers, exhaust manifold, cylinder head, clutch, but noise didn't change. I spent a lot of money, and I am very upset. Even car service guys have no idea about my problem. So the only hope for me is you. I have a video with this freaking noise on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JPQOynwmaA

First, your English is fine - better than many people whose primary language is English. I watched the youtube video and although the noise is not easy to identify, it does sound like a metal gear or roller noise. You said that you replaced the timing belt, but did you replace the belt tensioner? Also, you replaced the head, but did you replace the camshaft? I would suggest that you purchase an automotive stethoscope (similar to a doctor's stethoscope) and try to determine exactly where the noise is coming from. I can tell that the noise is coming from something that moves at the same rate as the engine RPMs, so that eliminates many items such as the manifolds that do not move. If you have power steering, check the power steering pump. Another possibility that could be the source is the flywheel and starter area. Sorry to hear you're having this problem and that you spent a lot of money unsuccessfully trying to fix it. Give the stethoscope a try and see if you can localize the noise. Good luck.

SOURCE: The engine sounds very loud

The flex pipe is located towards the rear of the engine, under the vehicle. It will be very obvious, you mentioned it was loud as if missing the muffler and coming from the rear of the engine. That sounds like a flex pipe and/or front pipe problem.

Hi guys I have a 2007 Suzuki swift sport and today I noticed a loud humming buzz when I'm idling, it's rather concerning... Would u guys have any idea what it is?

Power steering or toque converter. Check the powers steering fluid and the transmission fluid. Power steering/ Fluid usually helps, Check for leaks and fix. Toque converter, Check the fluid, look at the fluid (how dark it is) smell the fluid is it burnt? If it is low add fluid, but this won't help the noise coming from the toque converter. Eventually it will give out and the vehicle won't move. The sooner you fix this problem, the less it will cost you.

When driving my 2006 pathfinder a loud clicking sound sound the faster you drive the louder

Hi Herbert, we'll need you to describe more about the sound. Where does it seem to be coming from, the front of the vehicle or rear? Does the sound only come while making a corner or is it present all the time while driving? Does the sound change with light brake application? Does the sound seem related to the engine, brakes, suspension or braking systems? I guessing that it is from the engine compartment. If the service shop guys have told you the problem is with the belts, why did they not replace them? Regards John

Hi! I am not a good of speaker english, sorry.. I have Daewoo Nubira 2001 motor T20SED, transmision 4T40E and i have the problem : after driving at 100 km/h light ON Check Engine - error clutch torque...

Do you have the error code (P0742 = torque converter clutch stuck on...locked and P0741 TCC stuck off). The TCC solenoid replacement for the 4T40E (and 4T45E) is not very expensive but the job of getting the transmission case out from the car is difficult. Unless you have experience of fixing transmissions this is best left to an expert.

Water reserve problem

There are few reasons why the 'flow' between reservoir and engine doesn't operate properly. However, in relation to that if you hear a noise coming from the front of the engine I would suspect first the water pump. Have the pump check as soon as possible to avoid engine overheat and severe further potential damages to the engine if my diagnostic is right. In all the cases, if the engine overheats (check your temperature gauge or warning light) stop the engine right away and let it cool down before to continue your road. If by coincidence or bad timing it's really alternator that makes noises it's that the bearings are bad then the alternator has to be replaced.
Hope it will help

Have a '94 Acura Legend that is making a wierd noise(s). After starting engine, hot or cold, with foot on brake, shifting into any gear, after 2-3 seconds, I hear a noise that is similar to a person...

Check all the hoses on the engine for cracks and wear. If the car has a vacuum brake booster, it could be worn out. There is a large rubber diaphragm in it that can crack.
