Wiring a new radio in my 1977 VW bus

OK we know the radio head came new in this car. , 7L5T code proves that,
and the LCD is dead, so the 2 fuses are blown./? fuse 6 ,22 ?

got this one? from SM 1 of 5 radios. this truck.(sm-service manual)

Best is the kit to replace the radio dead with a good one. (not good for SAT or heads with separate AMP)

Sounds like you have a short, check fuses. Did you buy a fitting adapter for the new radio to the factory wiring harness? It's the easiest way. If your hard wired the new radio in, check the wiring.

It can be faulty radio amp or radio control fuse is blown out.Check voltage at radio wires.You should get 12 volts.

sounds like its wired up wrong, remove the radio unplug the connector and remove the radio, then check all your fuses must have blown one when radio was installed, after that charge battery and with radio removed see if battery goes dead, if not recheck wiring to radio, common problem with vw aftermarket radio,they are installed wrong,good luck,
