2001 dodge durango overheating
What exactly is the "round plug type thing" near the firewall [passenger side]? Is it a sensor of some type? I, too, have a coolant leak here on my 2001 Durango; its tucked in rather tightly near the hood/firewall corner. My electric fan is not kicking on; vehicle overheated tonight. (4.7 liter)
If you have an electric cooling fan attached to the radiator then your fuse or relay may need to be replaced. If you have a fan that is attached to the water-pump pulley then it could be the fan clutch. Take your hand and turn the fan by hand while the engine is OFF. If it spins relatively easy, then replace the fan clutch.
My transmission temp. light comes on and then kicks off my overdrive. Any suggestions
