I have a 2007 Pontiac Vibe with 100K miles. 2 months ago I had the ECM replaced under recall due to harsh shifting. All was fine for a few weeks after until check engine light came back on. Auto Zone code said torque converter clutch solenoid. I then changed the fluid and it stayed off for awhile but comes on and off periodically. I have no driving symptoms. I was told to watch my driving for 2 weeks after the ECM replacement as the computer was re-remembering my driving habits?

Take it back to the dealer and get them to fix the problem they created.

SOURCE: Repeated PO171 Lean Code:2008 Pontiac Vibe

First thing i would do is take the mass air flow sensor off and clean the small thin wires inside with a non-chlronated brake cleaner let dry for 10 minutes then re-install.If that does'nt help then check the fuel pressure it could be a weak pump or clogged fuel filter. Then check for vacuum leaks and next i would have the injectors cleaned.

Testimonial: "Yes Fuel assembly is a sealed unit with filter & pump in the tank. This is expensive. I will replace PCV valve also."

2005 thru 2007 Toyota Corolla "Harsh Shift" condition

There is a known issue with the 2005-2007 Corolla automatic transmission shift logic. The shift points may seem harsh, and the Check Engine light may be illuminated.

There is a technical service bulletin published (TC015-07) that will address and rectify this condition.

The diagnostic code P2716 will be stored in the computer memory. The procedure involves replacing the Engine Control Module (the computer) with an updated unit.

The repair is covered, under the factory warranty, for 96 months, or 80,000 miles, which ever comes first.

I hope that this helps Corolla owners out.

Regards,

How to replace pressure control solenoid p2616 toyota matrix 2007

You may not have to replace it yourself. I hope your car is under 80,000-100,000 miles there was a recall issued for that problem.
P2716 is caused by a bad Ecm, (engine control module,) Toyota has an upgraded ECM for this and are warrantying these for 8 years or 80k miles, Take it to the dealer and have them replace it for you, there should be no charge if the vehicle is under 80k miles according to service bulletin (41554a).

I have a 2007 Saturn Vue greenline. Came with a 5 year/100k mile warranty on hybrid components. Last summer the hybrid batteries were replaced under a recall. I now have error codes reporting problems with...

No Normally The 5 Year/1000k Warranty Is Exempt After That Duration. But If You Have Documentation Of The Battery Swap Due To The Recall It Should Have Been Recorded! You Would Have To Contact A GM Dealer To See If They Will Honor It !! I Hope This Help's As It Is Important To Keep All Receipts!!
