Front Windowss

1995-1998 Windstar - Engine compartment fusebox / distribution center: fuse letter "G"

1999-2003 Windstar - fuse #'s 106 (passenger side) and 113 (drivers side) in the ENGINE COMPARTMENT fusebox control the power window motors.

Rear Windows

1995-1998 Windstar - ?

1999-2003 Windstar - fuse #'s 18 in the PASSENGER - INSIDE fusebox control the power window motors.
The owner's manual identifies 2 fuses, #34 for the drivers side, #40 for the passenger's side. The Fuse panel is located under the dash, driver's side, close to the side wall. Squeeze the fuse cover plate to remove it and use the fuse puller on the underside of the fuse cover plate to remove the fuse. #34 and #40 are 30 amp fuzes and adjacent to each other

Known issue, bring it in to the dealership and have them do the repair. It may be covered by warranty or manufacturing error.

The door lock actuator is stuck in the lock position you will need to slim jim it open meaning you will have to lose the door lock actuator on the driver sideor replace the door lock lock actuator

Bad headlight switch

have you checked the locking mechisnium ithey can be faulty

you most likely have a bad door ajar switch- the door panel has to be removed to access it, its on the door latch- you can unplug them this will take care of the batt drain prob.as for the locks it may be a switch problem- most ford vehicles will not let you lock the vehicle from the driver's door when it's open to prevent locking the keys in.

On the 2000 Windstar that I was working on, the casing for the door lock actuators had split and the lock knob on the top of the door would twitch when I hit the button, but would not lock or unlock fully. I replaced the door lock actuators (in stock at my local dealership) and cleared up the problem. Also check the bushings that link the rods inside the doors. They are plastic and occasionally wear out

remove the door panels ,most likely is drivers door lock ,either dodgy contacts or the lock itself but i have had the passenger lock up the swanney before now also check the wires in the rubber sleeve from the body to the door had one once where they were chaffed.All vehicles had same symptons but different causes.
