Who installed the fuel pump and how long ago, also, why? Has it ever started with the new pump? Once it's running after you spray it, does it stay running and drive well?

OK new fuel pump. Is it working ? If it is working, insatll fuel pressure gauge on line fitting top rear area of engine. Start there , obtain results.

Is your fuel pump relay getting a signal? Is it any good. I would start by figuring out why the pump isn't running

1999 GMC Jimmy won't start. Tried adding little gas into butterfly at air intake. Sounds like trying to fire a little. I took the distributer cap off. Cleaned contacts. Still won't start.

1999 jimmy doesn't have a carb. has fuel injection . From what you have typed here i would suggest you take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop !

Won't start. New battery. Turns over but won't start.

These trucks are known for fuelpump problems. the first thing to check is to see if its got fuel pressure, try sparying starting fluid into throtlbody and see if it starts and runs for a few seconds, if it starts then you will know its a fuel problem, it will die out once the starting fluid is burnt up but at least it will tell you its a fuel problem and if it does start i would bet its the pump. good day.

1999 gmc 4.3 jimmy 4 weel drive, service engine light on, will not start

The first thing i would do is have the computer scanned for codes and see what codes are stored, you may have a bad fuelpump or a control module problem, check for fuel and spark, spray starting fluid into throtle and see if it starts if it does then you know its a fuel problem.

1998 4x4 jimmy has spark will not start

check the fuel pump, are you getting fuel preasure to the injectors, you may need a gauge to test this,or if you spary the throttle body will it start if it does then i would say its the feulpump, start there first.
