I also had the same problem. a/c system on mercedez s class is very sensitive,  you must discharge the old freon and use new freon as specify on the manual, and precise pressure : 14 bars. you may find the specification under the hood. if the pressure go under 13 bars, the compressor will automatically shut off, and the red light on the EC button will be on.

SOURCE: climate control unit passengers side

My Buick had the same problem and it was simply a stuck damper, behind the glove compartment. Freed it up, simple fix, works fine now.

SOURCE: blower fan

Sounds like the problem is more with the blower motor assembly itself. The blower motor have micro-proccers built itnto them which comunicate with the control heads and do the actual regulating of the fan motor. Dealers have computers with diagnostic software which allows them to monitor what is happening in the eletronic controls of the vehicle. Electronic diagnostics without the diagnostic software makes it very diffecult to pinpoint the actual item causing the problem.

Blower Unit Components Replacement

Note these items when overhauling the blower unit:

The recirculation control motor, the power transistor ), the blower motor (C), and the dust and pollen filters (D) can be replaced without removing the blower unit.

  • Before reassembly, make sure that the recirculation control linkage and doors move smoothly.
  • After reassembly, make sure the recirculation control motor runs smoothly.

S430 w220

P0410 is: Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction.
This may be caused by water being collected ib the Air pump or the vent solenoid and frozen or corroded the pump, also could be a blown Air pump fuse caused by the pump freezing up.

THE SOLUTION:
Replace the Air pump and the one-way check valve.
Replace the Air pump inlet hose.
Replace the Air pump fuse locayed under the hood.

I hope this helps you out....

Mercedes Benz S320 CDI faulty EPC display year 2004

Hi there:EPC - Electronic Power Control

If its like some other models is doesnt have a traditional accelerator, its drive by wire. Possibly pumping the pedal as you try to start is causing that. First off check for air getting into the fuel line.

Hope this helps.
