Side Assist System Fault ! I have been having a issue with my Audi Q7 2008 4.2L. When I press the "Side Assist" button on the drivers side door it gives me a message Side Assist System Fault. Importantly the Side Assist button on the door does not glow as well. Any suggestions appreciated.

SOURCE: audi a4 1995 central locking problem

Hi there.
I had exactly the same problem and there are 2 ways of solving it. The first is to pay your Audi Service Centre £350-£550 to replace it for you and the second way is to do it yourself which will cost well under £100 (depending on ebay). Firstly check the Central Locking Pump to make sure the hoses haven't come off. This is located in the very back right hand corner of the boot so you will need to remove the carpet and internal trim and you will see a block of sponge. Carefully lift the top off this and you will see the pump sat inside it.
Actually there is a great set of photos online to help you and I will add the link for you at the end. If the hoses are still connected and not leaking it is very likely that the internal compressor wheel has shattered (quite a common fault). I believe it is possible to open the pump and replace this wheel (in fact there is one for sale on a very popular auction site at the moment) but my own preference was to simply buy a whole new pump and replace that (£16.00 + £8 p+p off the same auction site).
The most important thing for you to remember is that when you look to buy a replacement pump you need to find one with the EXACT same serial number. The one in the diagram shown is
8LO 862 257 N but I have a sneaky feeling yours might end in an A.
Anyway, I hope this is of some help and dont worry about the connections as both air connectors and all 3 electrical ones are different sizes and will only fit in one place each.
Good luck.
Rik

SOURCE: Audi fault code J386 (2002)

There's a TSB on that problem. It involves broken wires in the A and B pillar from the central convenience module to the rest of the car. Ask your VW dealership or what not for a more specific answer.

SOURCE: audi a3 r reg remove inner door panel drivers side

On the inside trim, you can remove screws (these screws may be covered by filler pieces or may be visible, or they may require you pry a plastic piece off that covers the screws) that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls.

2017 audi q7 ac not working have a trouble code B10AE31

The trouble code B10AE31 in an Audi Q7 pertains to the air conditioning system. This specific code indicates a fault in the air conditioning control module.
To diagnose and resolve this issue, you may want to try the following steps:
  1. Reset the system: Sometimes, a temporary glitch can cause the code to appear. Try resetting the system by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes and reconnecting it. Then, check if the AC starts working again.
  2. Check the fuses: Look for any blown fuses related to the AC system. The AC system may not work if there is a blown fuse. Replace any blown fuses and see if that resolves the issue.
  3. Scan the vehicle: Use an OBD-II scanner or take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic to scan for any additional trouble codes. This will help identify any other potential issues that may be causing the AC problem.
  4. Inspect wiring and connections: Check the wiring and connections related to the AC system. Look for any loose or damaged wires or connectors. Repair or replace any faulty components as necessary.
  5. Consult a professional: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it is recommended to consult a professional mechanic or take your vehicle to an Audi dealership for further diagnosis and repair. They will have the necessary tools and expertise to accurately diagnose and fix the problem.
Remember, working on the AC system of a vehicle can be complex and requires expertise. It is always recommended to consult a professional if you are unsure or unable to fix the issue yourself.

What i have to replace the part in my air con system with this fault code 00256 a/c pressure/temperature sensor(g395)

In front of the firewall there is a plasticcover, also covering the windshield wipers. Remove that.

Underneath, on theleft side of the big box in center there is a magnetic valve with 2 "bulbs" sticking up (the magnets).

There is a known issue that this valve clogs with sawoffs from the engine leaving you with only hot air, or in my case: hot air in the side and defrost vents, and cold air in center.

There is a new valve with the same part number, only ending with a B to fix the issue, however it MIGHT help with a good flush of the cooling system, and removing the 2 "bulbs" and clean it out.

The system detected a leak in the evaporative emission system, code P0455 the car is a 2004 Audi A4 Quattro conv 6cyl, 3l.

Replace the gas cap and clear the fault code, most times this clears the issue with code P0455. If it does'nt then you will have to have test equipment hooked up by the dealer to find the leak.
