Nissan Murano sound coming from engine area once engine is warmed up marble in a tin can sound.. only does this sound briefly when taking off from a stop.. after making the sound just briefly then goes away and runs fine.. until I stop and go again.. I have checked my heat shields they are secure and it doesn't sound like its coming from underneath the car anyway.. I have also changed oil and use only premium gas.

Its called detonation. you must be running regular gas in it. switch to super for few tank fulls. it will stop, but as soon as you put back regular, the noise will come back.nothing that will hurt the car, just annoying sound.

SOURCE: oil consumption, rattle, engine noise

Check under the hood and inspect the valve cover gasket. If it's bad it would explain why you don't see any leaks on the ground because it's probably burning off on the manifold. This ticking you're hearing is a lack of lubrication to the rocker arms. Apart from the valve cover gasket, you should get under the car and inspect the oil pan and oil filter for seepage. Best of luck on your problem.

SOURCE: Engine on the passenger side makes load clicking

This could be many sounds. First off it could be the sound of an injector or it could be the sound of the lifters rattling a little until warmed. Usually though the lifter sound comes after the engine has warmed up. Have you had the oil changed at regular intervals? Maybe try some better gas if your not using premium and the car calls for it? Check your owners manuel for this.

SOURCE: on my 2004 Nissan murano when accelerate rock sounds come from under the car and goes aWay but when I accelerate again it happens again

If it only happens whey you are accelerating, and it sounds like it is under the car, my guess would be a heat shield on the exhaust is loose.

2006 Nissan Murano has exhaust noise coming from rear manifold vicinity. No visible cracks or corrosion

The cracked in the right side manifold is visible when you look up from the upper oil pan area to the underside manifold, the crack is small in the front runner. it takes 2 to 3 hours to replace it thru wheel well area.

After driving and warming up the engine it hesitates after you come to a stop. engine idles fine but push the accellerator and it take a few to sec. to go. 2004 murano

You may want to look into your MAF (mass air flow) sensor. Or it also sounds like a TPS (throttle position sensor). Both can cause the same thing. If you put your A/C on full blast while in drive and you foot on the brake you may have a TPS problem. Hope this helps and please rate me.

Loses power once warmed up

sounds like you could have a leak in air intake somewhere and the warm air is is not a friend to your engine.

check that. I know some years had a recall with this so maybe you can check your dealer if this affected your vehicle.

there's plenty of areas where things can come undone but most are pretty easy to check and on top. trace it back to the air intake box (front right).

pop it open and check your air filter while you are at it. you can lightly beat it against the driveway or something
