SOURCE: IGNITION KEY DOESN'T WORK

You accidently tripped the anti theft deterrent that lock the whole ignition system when the worng key or a foriegn object is inserted into the slot. The only way to fix this, is to have it taken to a ford repair shop, since they will probably have to replace the whole steering collum.

SOURCE: key won't turn in the ignition

Yeah, the Fords are known for having to really crank on the steering wheel sometimes to get the key to turn, other than that......

I have a 95 camaro, I put the key in ignition and it will not turn the ignition. It's like it's stuck. Replaced the ignition module and still cannot turn ignition. Help!

the ignition module (ignition switch on top of the steering column) normally doesn't get stuck.

things you can try:
steering wheel lock: (the pin gets a "burr" on it and locks everything up) wiggle steering wheel back and forth while trying to turn key.

transmission lock (parking on an incline will jam up the interlock)
push the shifter farther into park while trying to turn the key, or wiggle shifter

Key stuck ignition wont

This usually happens if your steering wheel is in the rightmost or the leftmost position. Try wiggling the steering wheel when pulling out the key.

well to get the key out all you need to do is takeWD-40 and put the small hose on it as far as you can down the ignition the spay it and wiggle the key UP AN DOWN then take a sewing needle and wiggle it around in the ignition som anything holdin the key in there will come loose. Ignition won't turn but the wheel isn't locked

I own a 97 Saturn SL. A few days after we bought it, the ignition locked and we were going NO WHERE. This can be extremely frustrating, I know. The solution is simple. Take the key out of the ignition, lock the wheel, put key back in ignition and wiggle the steering wheel while turning the key. Weird, I know, but it works, just think of it as a safety feature! LOL
