We need tat you confirm us exactly what fault code is stored there, in order to solve the problem step by step. Try turning the ignition key (with out start engine) three times, ON/OFF ON/OFF ON and read Pxxx codes on the Odometer, note it and replay with this data.
Goos luck.
didnt know that the OBD 1 codes came up on the dash ,thanks for thatZJ
No codes in OBD. I suspect that the ECU reset its self.
Could be; pay attention at code P0201, likely to be set up if there is an injector #1, and the P0301 refer at misfire malfunction on injector #1. Check it.

Did you get a chance to look at a possible stuck EGRvalve?
Since you have been digging fairly deep for the problem do you have a coil or distributor cap that might be the problem.
more often than not its a problem with something electrical, seems to me you allready have the possibillity of it being a fuel problem out of the way for now.
good luck,Gary

Check to see if the fuel pump is running after it shuts down...could be a relay or the pump itself (overheating internally) Checked the fuel filter yet? Some crank sensors need to be shimmed. If it's too close to the flywheel even though you recently changed it, if it's too close to the wheel it can fail again. May not be the case but worth checking over. Also check the ceramic resistor on the left fender near the master cylinder if you have one. That too can cause problems.

Sounds more like a timing problem than an O2 Sensor. Distributor out of Sync would be my guess. It ran better at Higher idles because the timing belt/chain was tight from tension at low idle the timing was off which caused your problems. Now the belt is either broken or so loose the timing is out and the vehicle won't fire. If it has a Distributor cap remove it and watch the rotor. If it turns the belt is intact but Timing may still be off.
