Sorry to hear that. Few people know the supercharger has its own oil. It needs to be checked and refilled as the car ages.
There is a spring loaded belt tensioning device....you need a socket that fits the bolt (some have a square hole for a 1/2 breaker bar) you take the tension off the belt and slip the belt off the most convenient pulley.

SOURCE: 1993 buick skylark serpentine belt removal

there is going to be a tensioner pulley near the front of the motor on top that you have to apply pressure to or you can loosen the alternator and take it off that way, just remember how it came off so you can put it back on

SOURCE: can the bearing on the supercharger be changed sperate?

You can replace the nose with bearing. If its making a clunking sound you will need the whole unit. Check out some of the people that rebuild these for more info.

SOURCE: installing the serpentine belt

The power steering pump is only held on by two bolts that are removed thru the pulley holes. Anyway you don't have to remove the whole motor mount just remove the nut that holds the mount just to the left of the balancer. then remove the stud with a inverted torx bit. then remove the sleeve the stud went thru and then the belt will come off.

the broken pulley is more than likely the cause of the break and yes you need it or you can do more damage

On my 2003 Kia spectra my serpentine belt has broke for the fourth time I'm having no problem replacing it but I would like to know if you guys may know what is causing it to break?

You need to make sure ALL pulleys move /spin freely with no rough spots or binding. Make sure the belt tensioner has adequate tension for the belt.Inspect the belt once installed for proper alignment on all pulleys with engine running and there is no sign of belt walk off. Is there any abnormal noises coming from the belt area that would indicate a worn pulley bearing?

I need to replace drivebelt on a 98 SSEi and I cant get the new belt past supercharger idler pulley

I believe that the Bonneville's have a motor mount that needs to be unbolted to get the belt out. I had to go to a mechanic to get mine done.

93 pontiac bonnieville superchaarger. Was making a lot of noise. belt came off and nose pully and shaft are really loose. Can I just replace the nose or do I need a whole new unit.

Sounds like you have a bearing failure either in the extension housing or at the rear of the impellers.
you can remove the extension housing by first removing the pulley at the front and removing the bolts at the rear of the housing where it meets the main body of the supercharger and slide it foreward if there is room.
I stripped down my supercharger after I had it reconditioned because the mechanic had left a small piece of aluminium shaving inside it and it jammed the impellers and it would not turn at all, I replaced all the bearings and seals as well and have had no more trouble so far.
I hope this helps you.

My 1998 isuzu rodeo has been running very poorly, then it will run fine. Someone told me it is the intake manifold gasket. It has been doing this for awhile. The serpentine belt broke as well. I believe...

NO!. tensioner has bearing to make it roll. just remove the belt to make have full access to the tensioner. then remove the bolt on center of tensioner. once it was removed you has a free hand to change bearing.

Can i still drive a 95 buick riviera with a bad supercharger

if your supercharger sounds like tumbling rocks, it is the plastic coupler between the nose cone and the charger body; take off your serpentine belt; chances are the pulley has some play in it but it turns freely; the replacement coupler is a cheap fix; what gets a lil pricey is the labor to replace it... the buick has an alternator bracket that has to come off before you can take the nose off of the supercharger... dont forget to drain the oil from the nose cone with a spray bottle nozzle

Im looking at purchasing an 02 GTP but my mechanic friends tell me to stay away from them because the superchargers have issues? are they right?

Remanufactured nose drive kits consisting of nose cone, drive pulley, lubricant,
sealant and coupler are available. The nose kits are an excellent alternative to replacing an
entire supercharger when dealing with low mileage bearing noise or leaky seal concerns.

This was from a service bulletin in June 2003.

Boost issues

No leak, it may be time for a service to your supercharger. There is maintance that most people don't know about and the bearing to the supercharger's wear out and then has play. The bad things is with the play the lobes in the supercharger starts to rub against the housing and then the tolerace clearance is larger then when the car was new. Long story short, time to have your supercharger rebuilt before it fails and kills the engine too. There is an other way you can look in too, here is there web page http://cartuning.ca. Good luck
