You will have to drop the valve body. The c-clip on the park rod probably broke and the rod is wedged behind the bell crank. You will probably need a new park rod and clip.

It sounds like you may have a faulty shift interlock solenoid. It is under the center console. You can expose it and see if it is getting voltage when the vehicle is on and you foot is on the brake. If it is, replace the solenoid. If it isn't, you may have a faulty relay.

do u have a sterring colum mounted shifter if so the sterrin colum shifting mechinisoms might be out of wack.
