1995 Buick Park Ave, 3800 standard (non-ultra). Car sputters/bucks/shakes while driving. If I floor the accelerator and it downshifts, it will accelerate fine with no bucking. But when the car then downshifts, the bucking returns. Have replaced plugs/wires, fuel/air filters, with no effect. Replaced a faulty fuel injector also with no effect. Compression is fine in all cylinders. Also there is a general lack of power unless you floor the pedal. Also, at times when the bucking comes, I can let off the gas, then gently re-apply gas, and it runs smooth for a time.
I'll check the wires. Just use a volt-meter and see if the connectors are getting power?
I didn't check the coil packs. Although I did unplug the injectors one by one and got a response on all cylinders except the bad one.I'll check the wires. Just use a volt-meter and see if the connectors are getting power?

The Gen II 3800 Engines have a HORRIBLE ISSUE with the INTAKE. They are made from Plastic and Warp. Waiting for the Engine to Get Hydro Locked (Coolant in the Cylinders)
The code indicates the TPS is still bad and the code is usually right, but it could be a wiring issue at the TPS connector or less likely a computer issue.
To test the TPS circuit, you need to check voltage and ground from the ECM - 5v is the normal reading between the ECM reference circuit and the ECM ground circuit at the TPS connector. Checking the TPS signal circuit to the ECM requires monitoring the TPS signal on a scan tool while jumping the 5v reference and the signal circuits. The TPS reading should go from high when the circuit is jumpered to low when the jumper is removed.
If the light is on the engine computer will have a trouble code or codes, which may help you towards solving the problem. Have the computer scanned for the codes. Go from there. Good luck.
Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight on the battery. Check to see if the wires to the starter are tight. Try starting it in neutral to make sure the safety switch is being make. Also hold it up into park and try.
