I own a 92 Gr Caravan and suddenly the ABS system stop working. I changed pads and the problems continues. Do I have to replace the complete ABS?
There was a recall on the abs pump motor piston, it's defective. I know this is 7 years after your question, but, i'm in canada, and the recall was cancelled in 2012. I bugged and whined and threatened them for 8 months and now i have abs brakes again.
The most common failure of an ABS is wheel sensors. I doubt you'll have to replace the entire system.
First check to see ifall the brake lights work, including the third light make sure they are all working,if these are all ok,you may want to have the abs system scanned with an up to date scan tool. hope this helps if not get back to me as i strive to be the best, please rate my fix
