Dashboard brake light stays on, 1990 Suburban

1990 Chevy Suburban 4x4, 5.7. Dashboard brake light stays on. Just prior, the dashboard brake light flashed 4 fast times, then one long one. I just put brakes on, since the light was on. It did not fix it. Thinking it may be ABS related?

Most likely. Usually what happens to mine, is the wires to the sensors get broken from stones hitting them. i splice them back together and they are good for a while. Or the sensors get dirty.

1990 TOYOTA CAMRY-DASHBOARD ICON IN LOWER RIGHT HAND CORNER

Its telling you a brake light bulb is burnt out.

If you find that all the rear brake bulbs are working...the problem is the sensor, located in the trunk, left side, behind the left side plastic wall (Removeable). It is a 2 X 2 cream colored box. Dealer only part. $80-$100 each. Have known 6 other Camry's to have a bad sensor box. Common problem.

2000 suburban dashboard brake idiot light won't go out

howdy, when the solid red brake light is on without an ABS light, it is usually low brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir or the brake fluid level sensor in the reservoir is stuck or defective. let me know if this helps you ...... good luck.

BRAKE LIGHTS STAYING ON IN THE DASHBOARD

i´d say you missfitted the wearing sensors while changing the pad. they work that way, that when they get chassis contact, this triggers the dashboard light.
