SOURCE: Heater/ac switch speeds 1 and 2 don not work in 99 Silverado

you need a resister found under your air duct by the passenger floor under dash board auto zone sells these for about 25.00 you may as well buy cabin air filters while your at it . 1 of the screws will be a pain to install back into the duct work I left mine out didn,t make a difference . you might have to order it as they are a comman item oh you will need a vacuum to clean up mess from cabin air filters .this is not a hard job .

SOURCE: 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 The heater does not

Had the same thing happen to my truck, the blen door actuator is under the console on passenger side, but the heater core is going to be clogged if you dont have any heat coming through, but a/c works..

SOURCE: 1992 chevy silverado 1500 ,

If you turn the key and nothing happens, and you bought a new starter and nothing happens (you just wasted $80 or more) check the starter relay by taking a screw driver and touching both the posts at the same time with the screw driver. but first turn your key to the run position (or the click before you would hold it to start) then touch the realy with the screwdriver. to find the relay first follow the positive (red,or "hot") battery cable to a little box type thing probably mounted to the inside of the quarter panel on which side you battery is if still nothing somethings wrong if it starts well you know what it is then go to the parts store and pick one up.

Dash board air conditioning vents not working. Defrost and vents at feet are working on 2003 Chevy Silverado, 1500 series. What could be the problem.

dealership has to repalce control unit and clear the trouble codes, a free fix is unpluging your hvac fuses, and disconnecting your battery for 3 minutes, and then reconnecting your battery, and pluging in your hvac fuse, ensure the controls are off so that the hvac can go through all its cycles to regain the correct positon. sometimes the control doors move out of indexed range and the computer doesnt know what position they are in, so they default to defrost. if yours isnt too far out of range you can go back to enjoying normal ac and heat, if it is too far out of range you can still have ac and heat just through the defrost postion.

AC/Heat/Defrost inoperable

Chanses are its either the blend door motor quit working or the controls ( temp., selector, blower) in dash are bad, my 95 did the same thing i chg. the blend door motor thinking it was that, but it turned out to be the controls in the dash, 5 minutes work and 140.00 later it was fixed.

1995 Chevy k1500 heater problems.

For a 95 Chevy Silverado....I replaced the Blend Door Actuator on the passenger side. Just behind the slide out cup holder. Yo ucan acces easily by removing the ash tray piece and the glove box....Or just the glove box and work like hell to get a socket in a tight place.

There are 2 actuators....one controlling the (Mode and Temp 89018681) and the other the (Air Inlet 89018367). I called the dealer and the parts were 85-125. I got it From TBA Auto (local store) for 39.00. A 20 min job at most.

Defroster & floor blowers don't work but front facing vents do

There are what they call mode door's these days they have a electrical motor that turnes the door to different posistions...sounds like yours is become broken. It would depend on your expertise in the ac & heating system area to replace the part. Sometimes easy and most of the times the dash has to be removed.
