What do you need to replace power steering hose on a 2001 chevy 2500hd

all you need is an 18mm, and 16mm end wrench, new hose, some fluid, and some brakleen to clean up the mess when your done if you can find something to **** the fluid out of the reservoir first that helps on keeping the mess to a minimum also..

Can't get pitman arm puller in small area to remove 2002 2500hd

You need to remove the bolts to the steering box and the one on the steering shaft and the power steering hoses, It's not that hard, but you now can do it yourself, just remember to mark the steering wheel shaft so the wheel is straight, (nail polish works great)

Power steering and brake line location2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

the power steering lines are very short hoses approximately 8 inches long that go from the power steering pump down to the steering box, which is located on the frame, just below the pump. The brake lines run from the master cylinder(where you fill it with fluid on the drivers side firewall) down to the frame, and then follow the frame both directions; both to the front end and the rear end, along the drivers side frame rail, just on the inside of it. The fuel line runs along the same path to the rear.

2002 Chevy silverado 2500HD No power steering or brakes

The shaft in your power steering pump has broken. Your brakes work off of a system known as Hydra-Boost. If this shaft is broken then your steering and brakes are lost. I contacted GM after I had my power steering pump replaced and they sent me a check for the cost of my repairs. My truck was not under warranty or recalled but earlier models (2500HD) had been recalled for the power steering pump shaft. The pump was the same part number for my 2002 2500HD as the recalled years. Good Luck!
