Clutch pedal is soft and has to be pumped to be hardened to be able to change a gear
I see someone has already mentioned the Master Cylinder but you should also check the slave cylinder for leakage. They are usually mounted lower and are more prone to contamination.
Bleed the air out of the clutch slave cylinder . Check fluid level in reservoir. If you find that the air continues to bleed out then replace the clutch master cylinder as there is air getting past the primary cup.

could you assist me in telling how and where to find clutch slave cylinder and also where the resrvoir is .
the slave cylinder is bolted to the bell housing and pushes a release lever thet comes out of the side of the bell housing. Resevoirs are on top of the masterter cylinder or get oil from the bbrake master cylinder. If you are still lost I suggest that you take it to a reputable mechanic and he will show you what the iterms are.
thanks for the info , if it is not the above mentioned items , then what could be the problem , i had my clutch replaced under 6 months ago
It will be the clutch slave and master cylinder . The clutch it self(what you had replaced ) will have different symptoms. It will be slipping--high rpms but not going any where or shuddering--jumping shaking the vehicle or noise when the clutch is depressed---failed throw out bearing. The clutch replacement would not have included the hydraulic system unless it was specifically requested in the work. With a new pressure plate installed there are higher loads exerted on the hydraulic system so any wear or short commings will be revealed in short time.
thanks for everything.
