I have a 05 T-bird anniversery addition. The tire pressure sticker says 31 PSI when cold. The tires say 44 psi. Which is right?

The psi on sticker is to cover them in case of blow out .if you run hard at max psi the tire will heat up,causing a blow out more in hot days. if you run them 4-5 lps under this will stop that and give you good mileage

Tires only list MAXIMUM pressure. Alway use your vehicles placard to put in correct cold pressure.

Read further on your tire. Max 44psi; "never inflate more than 40psi to seat bead" "Follow owner's manual or placard in vehicle" The 44psi on your Michelin Pilot is a Maximum tire pressure, not a recommended tire pressure for the tire.

Is tire pressure same for all season tires and snows?

It will say what the tire pressure should be on the tire. do not go by what it says on the door if they are not at the factory tires.
It will be in small letters close to the rim. It usually says something like (Max load 900 pounds at 44 psi cold).
You must go by what the tire says because it may be different than what the car manufacturer says, running the wrong pressure on the tires can cause them to fail Or handle poorly.

00Linc ls tires P235-50R -17 running 40PSI LABEL IN DOOR SPEC 30PSI . Would like to no what to do don't want to damage tire.

because it is a low profile tire with a wide tread , the 30 psi is a recommended pressure for a standard size tire
however at 30 psi you will probably find that it will wear with an under inflated wear pattern and the 40 psi is used to sit the tread flat on the road
best talk with a good tire shop as they have experience and reports form a vast range of customers who talk about the pressures they run to get the best wear from the tires
the tires I run are standard and the recommended pressure is 32 psi but the make of tire actually runs best on 38 psi and that comes from the tire manufacturer

What are the tyre pressure of a ford focus 1.6 automatic 2014

Coming from someone who has worked for Chevy,Ford, and Chrysler dealerships we had to gauge the tires by what the sticker said on the door jam at the driver side..I disagree with it...It is always best to gauge tires with the outside temp because cold weather and hot weather make a huge difference...NASCAR racing can drop a tire pressure on one tire and raise it on another for better traction on the constant left hand turns...Just a 1/2 of a pound can make a huge difference..Tires tend to swell in hot weather and on long trips..another reason it normally says to gauge a tire while it is cold which means been sitting still overnight..It doesn't mean cold weather...However tires won't swell in cold weather...I like running 40 psi in tires if it says 32 or 35....this will give you a good flat even tire wear...I have always added 5 pound to whatever it told me to gauge it at...If a tire wears out on both edges it indicates low air ..,also tire alignment can wear one side of the tire....If it wears in the center it means too much air...It is hard to keep them perfect because of rotations..,weather ,and certain terrain but it can be done by checking them every month....Some tires have different pressures written on them that is different than the door sticker...To answer your question ...Add 5 pounds to the door sticker...,your tires will last longer..They won't last as long with door sticker pressures which will give dealers more tire business...Another thing dealers do is put nitrous in tires instead of air which is supposed to keep air from swelling and changing in the summer and winter...This is good..It isn't Nitro that explodes.....Always tell them to gauge them with your choice of tire pressure....

What is the recommended tire pressure on the infinity 05 fx ? i usually run 34psi, but this winter i ran 40psi for maybe a month. someone told me that over inflatining caused my right front tire to...

40 psi sounds high. For actual recs check sticker on drivers door. These factory recs are a compromise between comfort and safe handling. For winter driving some people "up" the inflation for better traction in snow, etc.. Check the side of the tire for MAX psi (it's stamped from Tire mfg) You can use the tire mfg.'s 'max" rating safely. Over inflation will cause tires to run on just center treads.

Need tire pressure recommendation for 2006 Lacrosse. Sticker on door has been washed away. No value in owners manual.

Your local tire store usually has a refernce book or chart for this...most recommend 33 psi when cold...I prefer 35 psi for crisper handling and tire wear:)

Tire pressure monitoring light is on

This means that the tire pressure monitoring system has detected one tire low on air via a difference in rounds per minute of a wheel using the wheel speed sensor, over several miles.

Try to correct by inflating all tires to 32 psi or the recommended tire pressure when cold, according to the sticker on the inside of the door or inside of glove compartment or in the owner's manual.

Check tires for evidence of a leak, or look for a nail that may have lodged in the tread of the tire.

Follow instructions in manual for erasing the tire pressure monitoring light and resetting it.

Every model and make and year. potentially, has different procedures for this, but it should be in the manual.

What is the recommended tire pressure for a 2009 Saturn Aura? It has 40 PSI on the tires, but that sounds high.

You are right. That is to high. 40psi is most likely the maximum pressure that those tires can handle. Your car has a sticker on it somewhere. This sticker will tell you the proper air pressure for your tires. On a 2009, your sticker should be in good, readable condition. Common places for the sticker are: in the jamb of the driver's door, on the inside of the trunk lid, or inside the fuel filler door. If you cannot find the tire pressure sticker in one of these locations, it should also be in your owner's manual. Those numbers should be near the rear of the book in a section called 'specifications' or something similar. Good luck. Proper tire pressure is extremely important is winter weather.

The door sticker is unreadable. what is the correct tire pressure? We don't have the owner's manual.

the correct tire pressure is not necessarily vehicle specific. If you look on the sidewall of the tire there will be the pressure specification for that specific tire.
