I have a 2011 Nissan Altime with roughly 37k. I got my tires rotated and balanced and all of the sudden the e-brake and TCS light turned on. They stayed on for some time and then the brake light turned off and then the TCS light stayed on. After some time they both turned off. Every so often though they would both turn on. The brake light would stay on only for a few seconds, but the traction control light would stay on for an extended period of time. I am not sure if this has something to do with the brakes being worn down or maybe something that was done when the tires were rotated and balanced. Please help :)
Have alternator out put checked with engine running should be 13.5 - 14.5 volts.if alternator not faulty could have bad wheel speed sensor or wheel bearing failing.
so esentially this happening immedietly after I got my tires rotated and balanced could be completely coincidence?
yep but make sure alternator keeping battery charge i have seen bad alternator cause brake light and abs brake light flash if battery volts drop 11.0 volts because alternator failing because abs brake system need 12 volts to work properly.
if alternator okay bad wheel speed sensor or bad wheel bearing will cause problem you are having.

I will assume you know there is a button on the dash to turn the TCS on and off. Make sure that button has not been pushed. The brake light can be on due to worn brake pads or low fluid level. If the TCS is not turned off then I suggest you take the car to a trusted mechanic or to your local Honda dealer and have it looked at. It takes skill, knowledge, and the proper tools to diagnose this type problem. It can be many things including a sensor, and you can spend lots of money guessing. Spend the money to have it repaired by someone who knows what they are doing. You will be money ahead and have it done right the first time.

Check your brake fluid level in the engine compartment. Its located on the rear RH side of the engine compartment, its a white/clear resevoir connecting to a large black circular object. If the fluid is low, fill to proper level, also I would recommend having your brake system checked as there may be a leak. If the fluid is fine and at the proper level, you may have a damaged/broken brake fluid level sensor or damaged/broken Emergency brake switch. Hopefully this helps....please rate thanks!!

No doubt the control module is out, and it continue to operate when the ignition key is off due to a circuit fault. You can disable it easily by pulling the 60 amp fuse in the under hood fuse box (it is listed on the panel as ABS). Note that this disables the ABS braking feature and traction control, so be very careful when driving. The part can be purchased on the GM global parts site, about $600-$700 for the module. This will be the second time this has gone out for me and GM is not sympathetic, rather "pathetic", for a part to fail so often.
