Replace the radio. Pull out the door lights and check for a short.

SOURCE: 2001 windstar keeps blowing fuse #6 in under dash panel.

Power door lock actuator on drivers door is common problem on these vans. Thought it is most likely a short to ground. Check around your front door openings, the rubber boots sometime brack and cause the wires to chaffe.
Good Luck.

Try Replacing Location 1 (15 amp fuse ) or Location 2 (5 amp fuse).

I have a '93 ford crown Victoria LX. The door panel lights a radio keep going out (fuse blows). And I have replaced the dudes at least once a day. I have used a 10,15,20,25, and even a 30 watt fuse, but...

Unplug the radio and see if it still blows the fuse. Try to isolate it to the lighting circuit or the radio. You have a bad short somewhere. Trying higher rated fuses may cause your wiring to burn up.

The radio quit working in my 2003 voyager, looked at the main fuse box under hood and there is no fuse for radio.

The fuse for the radio is in the Interior Fuse panel. It is either located to the left of the steering wheel under the dash or possibly in a covered area of the dash on the drivers side or under a panel on the console under the dash. Check the side of the dash on the drivers side covered by the door when it is closed. Open the drivers door and look at that area for a cover you can remove to access a fuse panel.

Every time i use my lighter it blows fuse for radio lighter and dash lights where does fuse go

Usually the fuses are under the steering wheel to the left and up against the firewall, like in front of where your left knee would be. There is a plastic door that you need to open to get to them. Its the fuse marked "radio". Your lighter might have a short. Or you could try a 25 or 30 amp fuse as to replace the blown one. If your radio is off and lights to the dash are off and the fuse still blows when you use the lighter you need a new lighter

4 wheel drive gmc sierra 1500 1993. the cigarette lighter, radio and inside cab light suddenly don't work. is there a relay or fuse in engine compartment i could look at?

your fuse panel is either under the dash by the drivers left knee or on the side of the dash where it meets the door. the radio fuse should be the second from the top right side of the fuse panel. its a 10 amp fuse. the power for the switch should be a 16 gauge wire run from the passenger firewall (under hood.) behind a plastic cover where a lot of wires are bolted to posts. that red wire feeds power to almost everything in the cab. it runs behind the glove box and has a disconnect there. if the fuse is not bad and the wire looks good, check the ground on the passenger door "open switch" (the one that is supposed to turn on the dome light. that is where the whole system is grounded for the int. lights lights

M y radio stopped working on my 2004 trail blazer

The 2004 Trailblazer has two fuse panels, one in the under hood and one under the middle row seats. The radio fuse is marked RADIO fuse # 41 and is a 15 amp fuse located in the rear fuse panel. To access the rear fuse panel flip the seat behind the driver to the upright position, under it you can see the fuse panel and a diagram should be on the under side of the cover.

Good luck and hope this helps.

2002 Chevy Malibu (Radio fuse)

There is a panel on the passengers side of the car, I pulled the fuse used for OnStar because I dont use it. I didn see any labling on mine but it was the fuse located second from the top on the left side, but you have to be looking at it side ways because of the way the fuse box is orientated.
And then put it in the socket all the way to the right second from the bottom, again looking at it sideways. NOTE: My car is a 2006 Malibu LT
