well to reset a check engine light correctly is repair the problem to clear code and reboot system disconnect battery both terminals pos and neg for 10 min then reconnect them start vehicle if light comes on have scanned for trouble code

You may have to use a code reader to reset the CPU as all you have tried sometimes corrupts the CPU program

The check engine light arises when ECU finds any fault in the vehicle. Check for error code using On- Board Diagnostic system and then repair the codes.

2. Switch on the lights and press the horn for few minutes until last bit of electricity is drained.

3. When the horn stops working, you can now connect the battery again.

Do you have one light or two.You need OBDII scanner to read and reset light.

Your light needs to be reset. It doesn't reset automatically. Autozone, Advance, etc parts stores can reset it for you free

You should not reset the ck eng light until you have repaired the problem. Its just going to come on again, unhooking the battery MAY reset it. To reset the change oil light, turn the key on and floor the gas pedal 3 times, that should reset the light.

Hi, One easy way that you con try to reset your check engine light is disconecting your batery positive cable for few minutes , if this dont turn it off just call any lexus dealer ,they will tell you If is any other way to reset it ,( good luck)
