I have a 2002 Gmc 1500 The AC works great while the truck is moving but if I sit at a idiol like at a a stop light the AC will start to blow hot air? Not sure what to do.
It sounds like you have a fan clutch problem. You can test this by letting the truck idle, place a fan in front of the radiator, on high and see if it cools better. Good luck.

Under the dash is the center is a actuator motor attached to the heat and ac ducts that control where the air is directed be sure it is working, sounds as if it is not, You can replace the motor yourself if it is needed. If memory serves me correctly the motor just screws into the duct work and has an arm on it to move the door. Hope this helps.
two things are possible here. is the a/c fan working or not. this would mean you are not getting the cooling while setting still but are while moving. also you could be low on freon charge and this will happen. if this helps please reply and good luck
There's speed sensors at each wheel. You may have got some contamination in front of one of them... sounds like the abs is trying to compensate for un equal speed at each wheel... and something may be blocking a proper read at one of the wheels...
Hi, this problem isn`t to bad.Replace the blower resister,or resister module, located in the blower box, could be mounted outside under hood in firewall(near windshield)passengers side.It also could be mounted under dash very near blower in blower box,for this resister has to be cooled by the blower motor. This resister is the speeds for your blower.
it could also be telling you that your freon is low. have it checked if its good then you have a computer control problem seperate from the engine its a control just for heat and ac.
